News of the Family

The Build and Repair Network meets next on September 13 at 7am.

The Build and Repair Network is comprised of teams of men who offer their labor and fellowship to the seniors, widows and single moms in our church and community. Each second Saturday of the month, we meet at church at 7am for about an hour then proceed to the homes of those to which each team is assigned where we clean, maintain, fix and build whatever's needed. We work from about 8-10am. At present, we have 6 teams of men! NO PARTICULAR SKILLS ARE NEEDED. A willing heart and a small committment of your time is all that's required. Interested?

Summer Sunday School (Preschool to Grade 5)

The children are celebrating Victory in Christ!
Divided into two age brackets according to the grade the child would be in come September 2008: pre-school to 1st grade and 2nd grade to 5th grade. At the point when the children are dismissed to Sunday school, someone will meet them at the top of the stairs in the outdoor worship area to lead them to the right location for that day's lessons. Check out the interpretations of the Psalms in the "Faith Gallery" of art work displayed along the corridor leading to Celebration Hall.  Simply inspiring!

Joining the New Wineskins EPC

[inline:epc_small.gif="Evangelical Presbyterian Church logo"]On Saturday February 9 the Presbytery of Southern New England voted to dismiss Covenant Presbyterian Church with our property to the New Wineskins Presbytery of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. This is the result of a nearly two year process between the church and the presbytery. We give thanks to God for the way this process was handled by all parties and we are grateful to all who have been praying for us. God has faithfully seen us through this process and broken through barriers that we did not see ways around.

Mission Trip To Peru

The Missions Committee wants the congregation to be aware of an opportunity to go to Peru this summer with a team from Adventures in Missions for a short-term project working with the Cooleys & Deb White. This is very short notice, but if you are interested and available, please contact Jeff Moger ASAP - jpmoger [at] sbcglobal [dot] net.
