Missions

The purpose of the Missions Committee is to provide leadership in mobilizing the resources of Covenant Presbyterian Church to prepare and / or send out those who go forth in fulfillment of "The Great Commission".

Matthew 28:18-20 - 'And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.'

The Missions Committee is responsible for recommending to Session how the Missions budget (which is 10% of the church’s Total United Fund) will be distributed and is composed of those who have an interest in and commitment to missions.

Contact the Missions Committee for information on how you can help support their work.

Here is an overview and links to some of the various missionaries we support.

On the sidebar you will see new feeds from several of these missionaries blogs and news sites.

This site shows the work of a missionary pilot engaged in bush flying to reach remote tribal people groups with the Good News message from God as written in the Holy Bible. This jungle pilot or "missionary pilot" flying is in support of tribal evangelism by missionaries sent out by their local churches to remote areas of the world. New Tribes Mission functions as a vehicle by which local churches may establish Bible based churches worldwide. Tribal people are taught the Bible in their native language. Our work involves Church planting, translating the Bible into the tribal language and teaching people to read. To accomplish church planting, Chronological Bible Lessons are used which are based on the Firm Foundations series. The flying speeds this work.

The SIM Kaffrine team ministers in three main ways:

* By teaching the Word
* By prayer
* By ministering to human needs

Our two main ministry tools are chronological Bible storying and Community Health Evangelism (CHE).

The Theological Education Institute (TEI) celebrates the unalienable rights given by God to all people equally, as rooted in the Bible, the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. On this basis, religious, political and economic liberty flourish, and the Gospel of Jesus the Messiah can be most clearly lived and shared, especially in the face of the most divisive issues in the culture today.

Navigators have invested our lives in people for 75 years, coming alongside them one to one to study the Bible, develop a deepening prayer life, and memorize and apply Scripture.

An interdenominational, nonprofit organization, The Navigators is dedicated to helping people navigate spiritually, to know Christ and to make Him known as they look to Him and His Word to chart their lives.

Our ultimate goal is to equip them to fulfill 2 Timothy 2:2—to teach what they have learned to others.

Discovering the God who is more than you can imagine.
